If there's one thing you can honestly say about local singer/songwriter Katy Tessman, it's that she's tenacious as hell. While literally dozens of acoustic coffee-house performers have dropped like flies around her, moving to more artist-friendly locales or giving up entirely, she's kept plugging away. She now has a large regional fan base, a supportive indie label (Rhythmelodic) behind her, and is about to release her latest disc, the highly touted Fall. Tonight's gig will be a full-band performance, with Jay Moran on guitar, Bruce "Pooch" Heine on bass, and Dave Stanoch on drums. Katy also appears on KMSP Channel 9 News' "The Buzz" segment on Thursday, 1/4, during the 9 and 10 newscasts. Do yourself a favor, and find out what the buzz is really all about.
